A Weekly Recap
Weekly Recap:
I need something more exciting the spice up my life - I mean, rather than just working.
I have been OT-ing for almost 2 weeks straight! But still, work is still undone and my projects are untouched. What should I do?! And I do not have time to learn new stuff - I am just learning the old stuff and training new people!Anyways..I still have fun these two weeks:
1. That’s why you don’t have a gf
The bitchy boss and I were talking about what’s the most impressive present to give to a girl. K shared what he gave to his gf - perfume and hand-made cake. We all thought that the hand-made cake was very thoughtful, except for C - where he chimed in and said that’s what girls did. I couldn’t resist to ask him - so what do you think it’s the best way to impress a girl. He said he would do things like giving a bouquet or bringing her to fine-dining blah blah blah.J actually said “that’s why you don’t have a gf”. Only K and I heard that at the first time. I thought it was really funny and it was exactly what i was thinking TOO. I had to bring it up again and J actually said once more time - where this time, everyone heard that and laughed so hard. Poor C. But I think you should learn from it…lol.
OK. I am not that mean. But seriously, C is on the top of my hate list.
2. HKIFF (Hong Kong International Film Festival)
That was the first time I watched a movie in HKIFF, and it was a bad experience. A japanese movie with only English subtitles - called To walk beside you. It sounds like it is inspiring or enlightening in some sense, but unfortunately it just failed to convey the message. The reasons why I watched are (i) viv and steph asked me to watch it (ii) they said it was about studying law. It had nothing to do with law, except the main character wanted to be in the legal profession. It started with the elopement of a teacher and a student. In the middle of it, it started to get more sexual, e.g. sex toys, sex with strangers etc etc. I still don’t get how all these tied in with the movie, but whatever. The movie ended with a big question mark in everyone’s head. There is no logical sequence of the movie and so yea, it was crap.
After the movie, we got to try steph-recommended Sergeant Chicken - which actually was hainan chicken rice. It was in the centre of the Food Republic and it was just okay. We went there only because of the name SERGEANT - but the chinese name has nothing to do with SERGEANT though..lol.
3. Birthday celebration with A
Even though I only have little acquaintance with A, it is still fun hanging out with A, K and M. We went to try out a new Japanese place in Causeway Bay. IT was PALATABLE. RIGHT - haven’t had such high quality Jap food in HK for a long time.

By the by, A, K, and M, and my sister were officially addicted to the new scrabbles game on Iphone. We just couldn’t stop playing - not even at work. I always like to play scrabbles - just that no one is there to play with me! My dream has finally COME TRUE..LOL
